Expecting the
Saviour:
Studies on Comparative Eschatology
While studying archaic religious and mythological
conceptions the author makes sure that images of various people's savers from
the growing evil of this world sometimes reveal their opposite nature. Some
religious and mythological traditions expect a «good saver» of one people, but
for the others he appears the main embodiment of an evil source. At that the
adherents of single religious currents can perceive the obvious evil as blessing
or as such an evil that is a necessary condition for their access to «blessing».
